The little tree library

Turning the stump of a deceased tree into a mini library is indeed a novel idea, and a brilliant one at that. I’ve passed this particular one is Berlin many times and often stopped to have a peek within its flaps.

There’s something for everyone—from novels to travel guides, DIY manuals to cookery and children’s books. After a browse, I’ve often left with a book in hand, usually something I would otherwise never have come across.

Not only is it great to see trees diversifying and branching out from their duties mopping up pollutants ;-) but with so many libraries closing down, it is wonderful to see these trees provide free books, which are an integral part of any community.

And what’s special for me now is that I can give back and donate copies of my novel to this mini library too.

Read, recycle and repeat…!
